The Summit Class Case Moves to Public Service Commission

Continuing the Battle

Yesterday, Poynter Law Group filed a motion to intervene and a class action complaint with the Public Service Commission for the benefit of Arkansas consumers having Summit Utilities as their natural gas service provider.

The requested intervention is with respect to the motion filed by Attorney General Tim Griffin requesting the Commission to open investigations into Summit's natural gas costs and billing practices.

Together with the Attorney General we hope to bring quick relief to Summit's customers in Arkansas suffering from skyrocketing gas bills and continuing failures to appropriately apply customer payments, to properly use and apply payments within autopay, and Summit's failure to respect prior levelized billing accounts and to have a levelized billing program.
