Mandatory Mail Order Pharmacies are Illegal

Over the years, the Arkansas legislature has passed laws to protect prescription drug patients and their pharmacists. One of those protections relates to mandatory mail order pharmacies.

Under Arkansas law, and in many circumstances, your insurer cannot make you use a mail order pharmacy exclusively. Here's the rub ... mail order pharmacies are often slow to provide reoccurring prescriptions, and sometimes fail appropriately pack them considering the weather.
