Hearing Set in Jake Bequette Ballot Case

In Bequette v. Thurston, et al., Judge Mackie Pierce has set a hearing for 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022. The hearing will be held in the Judge Amy Dunn Johnson's courtroom, because Judge Pierce's courtroom is being used for a moot court competition.
U.S. Senate Candidate Jake Bequette has sued the Secretary of State, the State Board of Elections, and the County Election Commissions for both Craighead and Phillips Counties because he is misidentified on the ballots in those two counties, and possibly others in Arkansas. Ballots have misidentified Mr. Bequette as "Jack Bequette."
This is a public hearing and all interested members of the public are welcome. If you have any questions, please email scott@poynterlawgroup.com.
